Sage, I do cold calling, but have my best results when I call near cat toilets and heavy tracked up areas, for obvious reasons.

Whitey,

If I have to, I'll blow off my weekend plans, to get some trapping gear.

But, I'd be willing to wait 'til Monday and let you gather your stuff over the weekend, too. ;)

Beaver traps... that's what I'm most interested in.
Squirrel (especially repeater type) traps, a couple bigger 'cat/'coon cages, and some other incidentals, are also on my wish list.

I would be interested in the books if you still have them. Let me know what you've got if it is still around. Thanks.

Has anyone taken the trapping test this year? I have to go all the way to Olympia to take it and want an idea of what it's like.

Thanks,
jb

Hey JB,
Did you do the home study option? If so did you contact Chuck Ray or how did you go about getting the info. Chuck hasn't been returning my calls. Thanks

He is notorious for not returning calls. After a couple years I sent an email to a higher up and finally got some info. I trully feel that F&G does not want trapping. :dunno:

Hi -
I actually called the Oly office and they were really helpful. About a week after my call I got a letter with some forms to fill out. After I mailed that to Othello I got the Home Study materials. I just need to take the test.
