Mathews Z7 and Hindsight and now Anchor Sight

About every 50th shot my rubber tubing on my peep sight breaks.  Last year, could not shoot a nice buck 10 minutes before shooting light was gone because I could not see it looking through my peep.  When I had the bow set up (Spokane Valley Archery...don't get me started) talked me out of a peep without rubber tubing.  I wear glasses, and one of the first things I have to remember to do at full draw is push my glasses up so with my thumb (at full draw) so I am actually looking through my glasses when I line up the peep.  Was looking at various alternatives including hindsight, and most recently anchorsight...broke down and ordered the anchorsight.  Shot my bow today and broke the rubber tubing just 3 times.  I think the recoil from the fast moving string is doing it.  I like the idea of the anchorsight.  http://www.archeryinnovations.com/

I have shot the hingsight's and still like my peep better. But to each there own, I can tell you no matter what you use. The last thing you want to have happen is a twisted peep when you are at full draw on any animal!

Invest in a custom string, such as G-string from XXX Archery, or winner choice or vapor trail. Then have a pro shop tie in a peep for you. There will be no need for tubing on your peep with pre stretched custom strings will line up every time for you.

I've used a doohickey called a no-peep and had good luck with it.  There is also a new sight with one of these built into the top of it that would make it easier to mount.  Here is a link that talks about two kinds.

My new bow has a peep but I may take it off and go back to the no peep again.

       I agree ..and if you shoot a string loop you can adjust it so when you pull back your bow it will automatically line up perfect ....no need at all for tubing plus it does slow your bow down just alttle ...

All he needs is a G5 peep with some good strings that don't  move and allways shoot your bow before you go.

Tubing also seems to snap at the shot, don't like it either.

I have been using these for a few years and will never go back to a regular peep.  I shoot with the micro.

I bought the Z7 Extreme and have a peep with the tubing. I also bought mine at SVA and had it set up there to. No problems so far with my peep tubing. Good luck.

If you look at Mathews web site, the string that comes with the Z7 should be good enough to put a peep sight in that does not rotate, without the need for the rubber tubing.  Don't know why SVA couldn't have started me out with something like a G5.  I specifically asked and they talked me into the tubing.

There is probably higher profit margin on the tubing.

Installed the Anchor Sight.  Not the simplest instructions for installation but it was easy to install...just instructions took some translating.  Just need to get it to the range. You can move your anchor point and change elevation of your shot.  Might come in handy for the half distances.  Have my pins set at 10 yard increments (5 yards and they bump into each other)  but move the anchor point and your 50 yard pin becomes your 55 yard pin.  Better than holding high.

I've got a Z7 with a Winner's Choice string. Once I got the peep set up, it comes up right every time. The Zebra string that came on it was good also. No rubber to break.

the shop igot my z7 frm put a genric peepon string and it   kept twisting went to wholesle sports and put a meta peep on string they took thier time and tied it on correct no twist.As for changing your anchor point for different that would make me nervous too easy to put in wrong anchor point when your blood is pumping just another thing to go wrong. when u use the same anchor point it takes out that extra thing you need to worry about
