When ever you need an extra partner drop me a line I'm down in the Valley (Wasilla). I would catch a flight into Nome anytime to chase bears with you. Or if your down over the summer I can take you out in the boat for a few fish.

Great bear, fun looking hunt!
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Cool looking bear. Is grizz a draw tag for you or some kind general season with a quota system?

Well dreams do come true so don't ever stop dreaming. A grizzly hunt is always at the very top of my list of things to do. I highly recommend it.
When I moved here in 1988 the season was a split spring/fall season. The tag was $25 bucks and there was a one bear every four regulatory years in place. Made you pretty choosy when it came time to pull the trigger. Well it made me choosy anyway.
For the last few years the moose calf survival rate has been struggling to rebound from bear and wolf predation and the ADF&G has liberalized the season to one bear every regulatory year and done away with the tag fee. That is my kind of "Liberalism!!!" Read that as being able to kill two bears a year if you didn't kill one in the fall. The new year starts July 1st so I will be eligible to kill a bear on the fall moose hunt. Of course that eliminates my spring hunt for 2012 but I can adapt.
What do I do with all these bear hides? I have enough rugs. I send them out to be tanned or give them away.
Anyway thanks for the cool words.

Yea them bear bears are definitely a blast. Was able to take my 9'11" Kodiak bear last fall. They are definitely an awesome creature and well worth hunting although they don't come cheap for a non res. Congrats on your bear and using the snow machines looks alot easier than packing for sure.
