I bought 4 tickets for moose. Thought about buying more, but with only 1 tag available I bet I have better odds in the regular drawing. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The new gambling laws doesn't help with sales, so that is a loss for WDFW.  I think I will probably buy 5-10 raffle tickets in 3-4 categories. I imagine there will be less sales this year.

If it is just raffle it is the same for us we don't buy any but we are cutting back on draws.  Some we are putting in just ghost points (Trophy, goat, sheep, moose) and extras were not purchased (doe permits, 2nd deer, ewe, nanny)  but cow elk and cow moose are a top priority because of the meat aspect.  My husband will probably have surgery on his foot, shoulder or both so we are limited.  He will be able to shoot but prabably not hike or haul meat out.

I am buying zero raffle tickets nowadays. The contributing factors are:

1. The split in permit areas has increased costs for special hunt opportunities.
2. The chance on the raffle is almost zero unless you buy a lot of tickets.
3. The increased license fees impacts my choice as well.

cow elk and cow moose are a top priority because of the meat aspect.

You do realize that the antlerless moose is no longer a relatively easy draw like it was before they put it in its own separate category? The odds of drawing an cow moose tag is now worse than the odds of drawing a bull moose tag. It's close, but still the cow moose is a harder draw. I just checked: it's 1 in 274 for bull moose and 1 in 288 for cow moose.

The "Average Winner Points" was higher for the cow moose as well:  10.19 compared to 9.95 for the bull moose category.

I have never bought a raffle ticket, but might buy 1 just because it sounds like fewer will be sold. :twocents:

I'm buying fewer just because it's much more inconvenient.
:yeah:

The internet was no hassle and encouraged raffle purchases in my opinion.

I won the lifetime hunting/fishing raffle a couple years ago!  What a deal.

I voted I bought more than last year...since I didnt buy any last year.

Bought two for goat yesterday....meh...its only 10 bucks...why not. Ya never know.

With drawing a double in Multi season, Dad getting a moose tag in idaho, and a few others in the family pulling tags (spring bear, multiseason)....it could be the year.....

None, due to not being able to get the time off of work if I did draw or win.  I put in for points only on oil tags as well.  :(

Not being able to conveniently buy them online, I'll probably procrastinate buying them and miss the due date.
