Last year a friend drew a late deer tag here in western Washington...They have had trail cams out and had a monster on camera they were all excited about it...so come season they head out after mister big , they hunt a couple days and nothen ..On whatever day she sits on the trail still waiting for this buck to show up and after getting cold she decides to go back to her truck and get warm .As she gets to the truck she sees another guy pull up and gets out with his gun , they say hello and she says do you have permission to go out there , he says excuse me I think so ( state land) as he walks out the trail he sees a beaten deer trail he says hmmmm this looks good I BEST CHECK THIS OUT ...As he enters the trail noticed a trail cam hanging from a tree , he looks at and waved at it and then noticed a smell (doe in heat lure) he is confused for a minute then decides to move on ...What happens next will bring serious hate to the valley in which I hunt ...He takes a few steps and what he is lookin at makes hin crap his pants , it is a huge blacktail buck looking right at him ..he pulls up so excited and pulls the trigger but the gun does not go off .. he forgets to take off the safety , he then realizes what he did and as the deer goes to take off he shoots and hits the buck in the back and drops it ..The trail cam hunters are now seriously peeed off and it has caused serious hate between the hunters ... Well all i have to say to these hunters is ...thats the way it goes when you leave your spot knowing what was there and someone else kills your buck ..this is state land and he had every right to enter it SO GET OVER IT !!!!!!!
