Butterflies....lets see them
« on: May 31, 2008, 07:08:24 AM »
I'm going to sticky this one for awhile.  Give you guys trapped at home because th eMrs won't let you get out something to do, or you can't afford to put gas in the big truck.    Lets see your butterfly shots......amateur to pro.  No matter.  I got one yesterday, I'll add it as soon as I get a chance.  I'm sure there are mountain ones, westside ones, exotic ones.  No matter how common.

Good try.  The color is cool.  Maybe if he ever holds still long enough.   Is that one of those "hummingbird moths".  I have those too, and haven't come up with any shots yet.

Wow, I guess we really are bored this time of year...  Ok, I must admit.  I can only remember ever taking one butterfly shot in my life.  Here she is:

Hey Pope, your driveway has more weeds in it than mine....must be from the wetside. ;)

Not sure what it scores, but I just noticed the dead bee in the picture.  Roadkill, or disease......

GORGEOUS.....thanks for sharing.    I wanted to go to the one up in Vancouver but haven't made it yet.  I managed to make it to the exhibit when it was in Portland...sorry, no pics.

Mine is taken in Glacier National Park.  I was hiking after some rams to shoot (go figure?) when i came upon the butterfly.  Shot it and got on to more important things...   ;)
