HowdyI am looking or a new rifle for my 11 year old daughter. I like the Remingtons but, to be honest, I have been bowhunting for so long that I lost touch with what is what with rifles. Cabela's has a 700 ADL and an SPS on sale right now. I know the SPS is basically synthetic and matte finish. My questions are, what is the difference between an ADL and CDL? Which would you concider the better choice? I don't want her first rifle to be a pile of junk that she will be fighting with. Thanks!
Basic diference between the SPS and ADL is the SPS has a hinged floorplate where the ADL is a blind mag. With the SPS you can unload by dropping the floorplated and release the cartridges from the mag and just eject the one in the chamber. On the ADL you have to work them through the action.AWS
