I call BS on this..once hardened there is NO MORE growth! I have thousands of trail cam pics of deer in late July that are done growing as the hardened process begins they might add a inch or 2 from late July to mid August..what u see in August is what you get come Sept.

                                                                         :yeah:

As far as coastal blacktail antler growth slows way down by the beginning of July and done completely by the middle of July on most mature blacktail. Although still in velvet till Sept. never seen one grow more after they start hardening up in mid July.

As far as the NE corner is concerned, they have about 2 months to go. However around Ritzville I saw a 4 pt. mulie. In my opinion, different areas of the state have different growing periods. :twocents:

@hivito:
Are those pics photoshopped or is it just the camera cause those antlers look transparent to me :dunno:
Anyone else notice this? I'm just saying but nice pics.

I also noticed that the edge of the tree was visible through the antler.  Figured the critter was moving as the camera was focusing and blended the image?  :dunno:

Yes my brother and I have been stumped by this...
We can't tell if it is a double exposure or what
Here is a picture taken in the day in the same spot of the buck 2 weeks earlier as well as a close up of the bull
I hate to post my first pictures and have people be skeptical....I know I would be!
