Can anybody point me in a good direction to find pheasant chicks for sale.  I have had a hard time locating them.  Looking for about 15-20.

Checkout Pheasants Forever. Not sure what the number is but there may be a website. In the years past they gave chicks away for free to people who will raise them than let em go. I think this year they are asking maybe $.25 each. Might be worth checking out.

I saw the title to your post and I thought Me too :chuckle: Seriously though I believe you can get pheasant chicks through the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council (INWC). I have in the past. Contact them at (509) 487-8552 or www.wildlifecouncil.com. Maybe think about becoming a member too. Its a great organization.

those both seem like awesome organisations.  What would I be better off joining?   Also  would they sell chiks just for personal use?

How old do you want them?  I am putting a bunch of eggs in the incubator today.  They will be hatched in 24 days.  I also have a few that are a couple of weeks old now.

Do you mail any newborns? I might be interested in a few if you did that. Maybe even a wiskey donation ;)

I'm a private bird farm down in Burbank. I have pheasants and chuckar. We go by JDD's WildWings. We'll have about a thousand birds this year. We usually raise and sell them to guides, gun clubs, and dog trainers. Anyone wanting some chciks shouldn't be a problem either.

as sad as this sounds, I get all my eggs from Ebay...I've found some great people who take very good care
in sending eggs. They always send at least 10 more than they say.

http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/chinese_ringneck_pheasants.html

One of the biggest and arguably best hatcheries.  I have had nothing but great customer service from them and quick shipments.

Big R and other ranch stores are the best place to get them.  That being said, the season is almost over for those stores.  Mcmurrays is a good hatchery.  As everything else that is fun in Washington and seems like a good idea, releasing birds is ILLEGAL unless you have the proper permits and have jumped through all the hoops.  Bare that in mind while posting on here.  Due to sports I'm not hatching any chicks this year, though my pheasants are probably not the ones you are looking for.

Couldn't agree with you more Boneaddict.  My inclination was to believe that since the OP only wanted 15-20 that a lengthy discussion on legalities was not in order.

I sure wish Big R would open a store in Skagit and/or Whatcom counties... make life a whole lot easier!
