Any idea on the size of this bear? This is my first on my trail camera and I have never successfully hunted one before. Ill update with more pics soon.

My first instinct says that's a good bear. But in order to judge more accurately he needs to be moving. You can get such a better idea by how he walks. Size is really hard to judge on a bear.

Hard to judge from that angle.
Aim small, miss small.

Not sure if this is the same bear but it looks smaller than the original posting.

Great bear Ty, Hope you get to tag one this year. Seeing that bears are moving is getting me all jacked up for this weekend up in Copalis!

Knoxy, just got off the phone with WDFW and they said I just cant have the bear eating my feed during hunting season, so need to move my cam by August. I did change my cam to video to get a better look at what ever does come in.

Young, small bear. I'm figuring that those little fir starts are only knee high? Big ears. Is that Huckleberry on the right? A good bear will measure up to half the height of the huck bush. Keep your eyes out for mama in the area.

By the height of the vegetation it is approximately 34 inches tall when on all four.
Average is 30-36 so don't have to worry about its mom.

I'd have to second that. I would guess 175-200. Good shooter bear.

Thanks for all the relpies. A bear close to 200 lbs would be a trophy for me. No WDFW did not contact me, I contacted them to make sure I was within the law. The RCW says you cant bait a bear in an area that you are hunting or intend to hunt. Although my apples are for my buck I wanted no trouble for the bear camping at my pile.

I'm with you 100% on not wanting to be in violation. I've got a pile going..hell, I've got a case of apples and 1/2 bag of cracked corn loaded into my pack for tomorrow moring, but I don't plan on moving my cam if boo boo shows up. I'm not hunting the area and only have a sidearm with me when out. Good on you for putting the effort in. Look forward to seeing more pics and hearing how your site/season turns out.
