A different Cannonballs thread...
« on: May 11, 2011, 12:25:40 PM »
The other thread got me to thinking...

Does anyone that lives in the Gig Harbor/Tacoma area pour 12# downrigger weights?  I just cant seem to bring myself to pay $26 for one at Sportco.  I am looking for someone that may have a mold I could rent or borrow.  Thanks guys.

Searun,
I have a 12 pound mold in Port Orchard. Its the fish style and tracks very well. My friend Steve has 30 or so poured and for sale for I believe 15 bucks a piece.
I also have cannonball molds...Ill have to see what sizes exactly. I know at least 3 thru 10 oz.

Your choice.

Hey Wildman,

Thanks for the offer!  I think I may have a lead on a mold in GH for the 12# finned weight.  If it doesn't pan out I will shoot you a PM.  Thank you for the offer it is appreciated.

K but you'd be amazed at how much better the fish track and less drag.
We tested them at Mid channel and at 100 feet the 12 pound finned balls hit at 120 on the counter. The fish hit at like 105.
Either way. I come thru N Tacoma 4 times a week.
