Gringo,
Was boat driver that you flew in just fly up from the Seattle area and happen to be a 19 year old?
Great job on the bear, sounds like a fun hunt!

That is awesome Gringo. I spent 5 summers in Sitka and only got to hunt deer one time while I was there. I would see bears constantly while heading out to take people fishing every day. Someday I plan on doing what you just did, it sounds like a blast! There really is something special about being one on one with those guys on a remote beach in SE AK, it really takes you back in time...
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

Oh...I forgot to mention....that bear measured about 7'6.  When we got it sealed the sealer said he guessed it to be between 12-15 years old.  He said in a year or so I would get the official info back.
