100% Matched Elk Set
«
on:
May 13, 2011, 08:59:01 PM »
Well went out one last time to see what was left after all the madness of May 1st and came up with this set. Would be interesting to know if the bull dropped both sides at once or if he was dragging around one side, being they were bound up in barb wire. I figure he was a 1 in a thousand that is found like that.

Thats pretty cool. I found a single whitetail shed this year with about 4 feet of wire wrapped around it. Were those from Oak Creek?

I am positive no one else packed these around based on where I found them and since they were from last year. The bull had the wire wrapped around each side about 5 times. These are not a oak creek bull.

These are not the ones from the trailcam unless this bull traveled to cle elum which is possible, depends on the time of year.

I have been watching this site for quite awhile now but have never posted. Your antlers are not as covered as this guy but it is the same kind of thing. I only have pictures with the barbed wire on. I heard that he was dragging one antler around for awhile. I was hoping to find them but haven't.

I called in a 6x6 for my wife on the wetside last year and thought it had a toilet seat in its antlers. She couldn't see the antlers so she passed. Everyone thought I was crazy until one of the neighbors showed them a picture of the elk stuck in a swing set, he walked into it as he was feeding, someone else had a picture of it with the white belt of the swing still stuck in the antlers.
