bozeman shed hunting
« on: May 18, 2011, 04:53:13 PM »
I'm heading to bozeman Montana next week for 5 days. Looks like I'll have some freetime, was going to see if anybody knew any good spots around there for horn hunting. Thanks

i dont know of any state land, havent really had time to look but there is a bunch of trails and such out of the Hyalite valley and Hyalite lake area.

to get to hyalite head south on 19th until it makes a right hand corner keep going a few miles and the turn off is on the left its only a county road sized signed so keep an eye out.

there wasnt any snow in town when i headed out for the summer two weeks ago but there was a ton still up in the mountains.

Theres a boat load of forest service all around Bozeman and it all has elk... just try and find some "winter range" and go for a hike...and watch out for the grizzlies... they are out and about...
