The meal
« on: May 14, 2011, 08:29:38 AM »
I came off the mountain from chasing rattlers, and I heard squeeking in the tall grass.  I was thinking maybe some baby birds.  Upon investigation, I found that Mr Racer had nabbed him a mouse.  The mouse was kicking up a storm.  I took some pics in the grass and then let nature take its course.  I checked on him 20 minutes later and the mouse was dead and starting to head down the pipe.

I wish I'd have photoed the bullsnake with a dozen pheasant eggs in his belly or the one with about 18 (100 dollar each chicks) in his guts this last summer.  Both of those were COOL, but have to admit they didn't live long.  I've got to watch it a couple times predatorpro, but have never had my camera handy.A real good one would be a rattler sticking out of the mouth of a bullsnake.

I've actually caught one of those in washougal I lived near the train tracks for 18years, the trains would stop behind the house all the time and drop off hitchhikers(snakes) took a bit of research to figure out what it was.
