I have to agree with loose as I am new to the State also. I have been reading through the hunting regulations trying to get a grasp of these ridiculous laws in this state. Can't use dogs to hunt lions?? WTF??

I have hunted in Utah my whole life so I'm used to lousy laws and bad game management. WE always say the Mosquito Abatement in Utah should run fish and game and UDWR should take care o mosquito's. A lot less mosquito's and animals all over the place. Tags are cheaper in WA. I'm pumped to hunt here. The shoe is on the other foot though, I'm used to people asking me if they can hunt on our property not me asking them.

You should be all set then. You know first hand what a landowner likes to hear to get in the door.

I also thought that was strange. How else do you hunt Cats? Nothing like the sounds of dogs chasing a kitty.

we definatly have things that need to be fixed, like getting to hunt with hounds again, getting are trapping rights back and getting to bait bears again, but i for one love this state, i couldnt wait to leave when i was 18 and left for the army, but when i got to georgia, then california, spent time in south america, louisianna, texas and korea, well you would have to drag me kickn and screamn to leave this state, but like others have stated the grass isnt always greener in a differant state :twocents:
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"

bgarrett, If you ever need somebody to drive while you glass or viceversa, let me know. I'm looking to learn the area a bit more and get out to see what's in my back yard. I live in Kent, but have tons of family in the Issaquah area.
