Wow, that 5 7 is awesome!
For a big bore I like the Ruger Super Blackhawk hunter,
I carry a SP101 and a HK USP 40 Compact.

My CC everyday is a 9mm S&W Sigma, but when I am hunting any season the gun on my hip is a Taurus Judge 2.5 in .410 & 45 Long Colt. I love the fact i can mix the loads depending on time and place.

I'm liking my XD .45. It's awesome.

Question: Can you change the elevation on the sights? Mine shoots 6" low at 25 yards when the dots are lined up.

Conceal: light-1911 .45 ACP any mfg
             heavy-HK MP5

you conceal an MP5?!!!!  how big of a coat do you wear?!  is a 3 -round burst model?   :chuckle:

i've carried a couple of different pistols.  first i bought was a Rossi 4" .357.  I like it and still have it.  puts a nice big hole in bears!  i've also carried a Kahr CW40.  i love the pistol, but couldn't hit a thing with it.  shipped her on down the road at a gun show.  carried a P64 in 9x18 mak.  i was accurate with it and i liked it, but as an all steel gun, it was a bit heavy for working in the office (not a gun friendly office, so deep concealment was paramount).  then i had a diamondback .380, which i liked, but .380 was, well, .380.  now i'm carrying a S&W 637-2 airweight in .38+P.  i've always wanted one, shoot them pretty well and now i have one!

if i was looking for a .44, i'd probably head to the safe and grab either the nickle or blue S&W Mdl 29 my dad has.  both 6.5" barrels.  hard to go wrong with S&W.

Rugers are good guns, just don't do a whole lot for me looks wise.  a friend has a .41.  nice pistol.  shoots very well, but single action.  for me, well, colt and S&W would be where'd i'd look.

For hunting I like my Ruger Super Redhawk in .480 Ruger the best. Next would be my .500 S&W Mag.  Both  have 2x Leupolds on the them.

For carry guns, if it's an auto loader I'm partial to 1911s. If it's a revolver, I've grown fond of the Chiappa Rhino.

For field guns or side arms while hunting I like the 4" Redhawk in 45 Colt, or a 6.5" S&W 610 (10mm)

For serious handgun hunting with a revolver I loved the 10" 45-70 BFR until I hurt my wrists and had to sell it. Now I've moved on to the bolt action pistols. You get all the power you could want in a gun with very little recoil.

It's hard not to like a gun that gives you 338 Win Mag ballistics  from an 18" barrel. :chuckle:

The MP5K (and even PDW) aren't that difficult to conceal.  Especially with a short mag.  Any large rain coat works....it can hang on a tac-sling and doesn't distort the jacket while walking.
3 rd burst.....yeah right.  Not in this state.  S or F.
It would be nice to find something like this to fit it....especially with a vert grip.

My favorite for woods carry is the GP 100 5 inch.  It choose me actually, I just bought it.
The SP-101 snubby with Crimson Trace grips for everything else.
