its a damn shame that we have reached a time that a fella cant even go out in the damn woods and put up a trailcam and have it stolen, this is completly fricken sad, people like that make me sick and i would love to be the one who gets to cut a thiefs hands off, which is the best thing for them, and its also pretty fricken sad when a guy asks us if we happen to recognize him and he gets attacked, lilswab, soory your cameras got RIPPED THE HELL OFF, BY SOME ASS, and guess what i would bet that the guy in the pic is the damn thief, hope you find out who he is and break his hands for him, piece of crap thieves, dude i had my northwood stolen from my house, drove right through my steel gate cut the lock off my boat and took the whole damn thing all i got back was the hull and trailor they even took the boat plug, but i guess its my fault it got stolen because i didnt have it parked inside my living room
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"

Thief!!  but apparently to some on this sight if you cannot prove it it is o.k.  Love the entertainment sometimes other times it is just downright pitiful some of the posts.

I'd like to see some places where folks have said it is okay to steal cameras? I certainly can't think of one.....I agree that it is sad that we can't leave a cam out without it having a good chance it will get stolen by another hunter or a bunny hugger. Yep, it looks like he/she could be your thief, I agree. However, without proof of some kind it is hopeless.

I like how people put words in others' mouths! Never said it was ok to steal, and I never attacked him(the owner of the cams), i attacked all you that are guessing who, and what the guy in the pic is doing....

Set him up with other cameras, i think thats the only way you can get him/her.

Thought the same thing.  If it is, might be a little easier to track down.  Any footprints in the area...smaller than normal with a shorter stride?

that sucks, but its time to get some climbing gear and put your cams up higher in the tree.
god knows if i had money to waste on a cam, i would never leave it in any public forest land where anyone can go in and swipe it.
TANNERITE needed for target practice on opening day of each hunting season.

I'm gonna go with

that doesnt look like a backpack, it looks like a camelbak ( hydration pouch ) with one pocket on the back  i could be worng  but thats the first thing i noticed.
~  ~One of my favorite clothing patterns is camouflage. Because when you're in the woods it makes you blend in. But when you're not it does just the opposite. It's like "hey, there's an *censored*."”

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.

Jackmaster!  Did we just become best friends?  Good post and point.  Even though I do enjoy all the other forum banter.

I am mad as hell! >:(  I just got back from checking my 4 trail cameras and 2 of the 4 were stolen.  Luckily, my cheap wildview got a picture of the guy.  I hope some of my forum friends can help ID this jerk.  I used to lock up all my cameras but figured this spot was pretty covert and didn't need to worry.  I was wrong.  :'(  From now on all my cameras will be locked.

I will probably not get my cameras back.  I will lock all them up next time. To avoid this kind of frustration I hope my HuntWA forum trail camera addicts will do the same :twocents:

If you have any ideas on who this guy is please PM me.
