FINALLY DROPPED THE HAMMER! MONROE
« on: May 25, 2011, 09:54:18 AM »
Finally was able to close the deal on a bear. after many days and countless hours and miles hiking scouting and glassing. found a nice cinnamon bear had him in my crosshairs night before last but wouldn't give me a clear shot so i decided to hold out for him to step clear he never did and darkness fell so home i went once again empty handed. decided to go give it another try yesterday after work ran up to same spot hiked in and continued to glass and hike around and as evening approached i settled down same area i saw him and waited and to my shock and surprise there he was. slowly milling around this time i got set up and as soon as he stepped clear i dropped the hammer on him. he went about 5 yards and expired. what a great cinnamon color bear

I like half mounts personally. Might be what we do if my wife kills her bear this week.

I think he'd look awesome as a 3/4 mount.  Paws down a bit and the lower lip hanging just a bit.  No snarling pose whatever mount you decide.   :twocents:
