tiny tasco 5 mega pixel
« on: May 26, 2011, 11:41:36 AM »
who uses them? My dad just picked one up from cableas for about 80 bucks. He was gonna get a bushnell since they were on sale but they were all out. So got stuck with a tasco. It's smaller then my bushnell that I have. So what problems do you guys have with these tiny tasco 5 mega pixels? Do you like using them?

Great for compact size and easy deployment.

Not too shabby for general identification of activity and good sequences.

Pretty poor on high quality night shots. The day shot aren't bad but I don't have any big critter shots during the day yet.
May the morning silence be broken with the wisp of vanes trailing blades to their mark.

I have owned six of them. I own 2 of the Bushnell. For the money the tasco cameras are great. I had one of the six fail on me after several thousand photos and I had another one take red photos. That being said I have had issues with both the $200 bushnell in the same time period. I like to put the tasco up on public land because I take less of a hit if they are lost. For my money the tasco is the way to go until they make a camera that doesn't break or get stolen. They aren't going to be the greatest for setting up on trails.
