Daughters First's!!!
« on: June 04, 2008, 07:54:34 AM »
I was digging through old photo's for my Daughters collage(she graduates High School Friday)and found these. She was 10 when she caught her first Steelhead. 12 when she caught here 1st Springer on the Deshutes in Oregon. Which had an Idaho Fish and Wildlife Transmitter in it. She received 75 Dollars for returning the transmitter. And she skipped school that day to go fishing with me to boot!!! 13 when she shot her first Deer with my 264 Mag. That's me packin it......lol

Is that a pre-64 model Winchester .264? Sweet pictures and even better memories

Wish I coulod get my 13 year old daughter to go do that with me again.  She has not set foot in woods or water since 2004-2005.  Great memories.
Thanks for the post Slider.

Here is a pic of Me and my daughter with my old man in 2005.  Last time she went.  She handled the whole thing great, but has not gone since being there when I shot this deer.  :dunno:  Drug it straight downhill to the road. About 1 mile.

definately one of the coolest things in the world to me is kids hunting with their dad :rockin:
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Great photos guys.  That has got to be a tough deal for you Slider, strolling down memory lane and realizing your girl is all grown up and it is almost time to set her loose on the world.

I was thinking the same thing.  I know it must be a little hard emotionally for you Slider knowing she is grown up.  I feel that way everyday, and my daughter is just going on 15.

Congratulations to you and your daughter both.

Great Post, Slider. Thanks! Congrats on having and raising such a fine gal! Emotional, maybe, but from here it looks like you've done it right. You took her with, and helped her succeed, in stuff you could enjoy together. You made her a priority in your life.

I get to look forward when I see posts like this, my oldest is 4, youngest is 2. I look at your fantastic memories, and think about the stack of pics I hope to have when they're graduating high school...

WELL DONE!! It's not bad from here, just diffeent! WTG Dad!
