Headed to copalis
« on: May 27, 2011, 05:56:10 PM »
Yes we are headed out in the lovely weather, and yes this guy is having his girlfriend write this for he is getting us lost somewhere around fife. We might make it to actually hunt today, traffic is not as bad as expected. Enjoy your memorial weekend.

If I were you, I would keep on looking around for sign. Just calling may turn up a bear eventually, but calling in an area where bears have been working would better your odds.  :twocents:

Hunted most of the day. Saw some old tree peels from last year but the was. About it. Maybe it will be better in two weeks?

The bears are not moving far from food sources.
Right now that would be grass, salmon berry blossoms, dandelions and skunk cabbage. They will also be tearing into stumps and logs any day now as well as looking for fawns.

These would be the areas to hunt over and possibly call over.
