Well from what I can see from the two pictures you did one hell of a job... around his eyes could not look any better.. I have thought about doing this for years but never done it ... I am good with an air brush just lacking patients .. awesome work !!!! :tup:

Great looking piece.  I have caught a few nice fish that I wouldn't mind doing that with.  Just haven't been willing to pony up the cost for one of those.  Great piece.

I have tried both of those and dis like them both. Research does not give you any detail to follow or guidlines. They use heads that are for a variety size of fish so usually their heads are to small or way to big. Arp does the same, you get a head not fitted for the body. And you are either trying to build areas up or sculpt parts back in.   I use reproductions from a couple of different places all depends on what type of fish it is.

i agree with you about research and arp, i was just using those two as examples.  I know that they all differ according to size and species but how many hours do you have into a fish like that steelhead?

the steelhead was about 25 hours. I have around 14 hours just in tipping the scales on it. It takes a long time, I watch movies now and do it 1 hr 40 mins at a time. Lol.
