I was just wondering what kinda group size you all get with your muzzle loaders at 100 yards.

The best I can do at 100 yards is about 4 inches.

Off of a bench we have been able to get about 1-1/2". That was with the 300 grn Hornady sst. After doing some testing with them we decided that the Barnes bullet was a much better bullet. With them we are getting about 2-3" groups, if not less. For the little bit of accuracy that we loose it makes up for it in performance.

Depends on how I am shooting that day Most days 2-4" with the barnes 290gtmz.

good info I was getting about 4 inch groups. It was my very first outing with a muzzleloader. It was alot of fun. thanks guys for the info

1 1/2" was my best ever! Average for me is 2 1/2-4". That's with 295 gr Areo copper Power Belts pushed by 130 gr of Pyrodex....

2-3" group is what I shoot for. If you were shooting 4" on your first trip your on the right track.

My best group ever is an 8 shoot group that was 1 1/8" at 100 yards with my .410 Super 91.

I try to sight in my muzzleloaders for MOD (minute of deer) or MOE (minute of elk) accuracy. All kidding aside if I was shooting 4" groups I would feel pretty confident, especially if it was your first outing. I would think your groups would decrease/stay consistent as you shot more and increased your trigger time
