Wow incredible buck! I am hoping to hit it extremely hard this year and I would probably pass out if i got the chance at a buck like this! I hope to be posting a picture of a buck sometime in late october also!

Hell thats just a big old blacktail that got slayed and didn't know what hit him. The ears are dead give away, look at them then the rack if it was a muley that wide the score would be alot higher. Nice buck you got there, most who hunt blackies never see one of that caliber let alone shoot one. :drool:
I agree totally its an awesome blacktail. But, how would his score be higher if it was a muley?

Muley ears are wider and farther apart than blackies.

I realize that mule deer ears are larger than blacktails, but how does that make that set of antlers any larger?

That is a beauty.  Way to make a splash with a first post.  Please don't be discouraged but the genetics of your deer are likely to be discussed at length.
Yea don't be surprised if the word Benchleg gets thrown around as it does with most big blacktails.
