I only saw one legal buck last hunting season, I did not shoot it and I hunted the whole(9 days) season. It was without a doubt my best season so far. See, we rebuilt our cabin in Okanogan last summer

. Spent a week with the Wife and kids, my Dad, Brother his daughter, my nephew, my Mom and sister, and a few GOOD hunitng buddies came over for a few days too. During the season my Dad came over and I got to hunt (have him in camp) with him for the first time in my life. I went once with him and my older brother when I was little but that does not count as really I just got to go. Anyhow my Dad has some pretty significant issues with his legs and feet and cannot walk around much, but it was awesome to just have him there. We (my hunting buddies and I) waited on him hand and foot so he wanted for nothing. When we went out hunting each day he made sure his gun was by the door of the cabin and he burned stumps while we were gone. Sunday afternoon we were ALL back in camp getting lunch, discussing the afternoon hunt and reliving old times (typical hunting camp) when the only legal buck was spotted. We got Dad out of his chair and handed him his gun and watched as he dropped it from the cabin

(long standing family joke is that Dad was always going to shoot a deer from the cabin)! To this day, my BEST day hunting ever! I will bet that changes when my son or daughter shoot their first game animal sometime soon, but certainly there are no regrets about how it went down. The season is short the obstacles are many, but the memories are worth every bit of it. Take each season as the gift it is and really look at what matters. Have fun, enjoy it and take a ton of pictures. These may be the best times of your hunting life.
