bear pics
« on: June 01, 2011, 01:51:54 PM »
i was wondering if anyone would be intersted in 1 tread to put all of our bear pics on. my reasoning for this is i thought in might be easier to learn to judge them better if the pics are side by side instead of having to jump from post to post.

ill start with a few i have

One thread for judging...got it. The consensus for this little guy is right around 75-80 lbs.

I have three bears coming in on this spot, but this little guy stayed on cam for 4 entire days. Typically they feed and leave but he slept and just hung around.

i'm no expert but see how the ears on your bear seem to be more on the side of it's head rather on top?  also look at the size of the ears compared to the bear....the ears don't seem as "big" and "round"... also notice the crease on the skull between the ears...IMO that's a "shooter" bear and one I'd mount

Last November brought these two in.  the first is a sow that came in with two cubs for 2 months straight.  Second bear came in a few days later and was the last before they went into hybernation.  He looks almost twice the size of the sow.

Didn't want to keep him around, cause my big bucks dissappeared after this guy showed up.  But what he is licking on is the buck jam hard sucker.  Also had deer cane down and some alfalfa.  The Sow and cubs ate a lot of my deer corn, they really like that.
