I'm a bit confused? I voted no not because I want save the wolves but mainly because you are willing to spend $2101.75 for an out of state moose tag but not willing to pay $186 for a wolf tag. Gotta agree with Jackalope this is a very odd thread?

How is it $300?  According to what I read a Wolf Tag in ID is only about $180-something... :dunno:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

sry man but you didnt have the option i wanted, and that would be no. agree with Holg3107, you can spend the 2200 on the moose but not 180 for a wolf, you got a set of cahoonys(?) on you for even asking especially the way the economy is. good luck to you, maybe ill see you over there, think im going to try to whack one myself.

I get the 300 roughly, as I would have to pay for the out of state Hunt license (154 bucks) and then the tag (180).

This isnt something I was overly serious about, just testing the water. I just know how everyone yammers about wolves on here (if you pay any attention) and if you could give a buck so another fairly successful predator hunter could go over (since I am headed over there anyway) and try his hand at filling a wolf tag, fulfilling some of peoples wishes on here...meh...its only a buck! :chuckle:

Not trying to offend, swindle or anything else..just curious about peoples thoughts.
And the moose tag was paid for from all of us kids and mom, not just me.

I only lightly proposed this, DUE to the economy. If I was overly rich, I wouldnt blink twice at spending 300 bucks to bag a wolf! ;)

So again, its just a general poll, wasnt ment to offend (it was half for fun anyway)...and even if I dont do the idea and I do save enough here and there for a wolf tag, I will still post the story hunt wa for all to enjoy. ;)

Regardless, I will also post the moose story on here too.
August 1st yet?

PS...good luck RTSpring...maybe see ya out there!

If someone puts in for a tag he should be able to pay for it himself.  I put in for what I thought I could afford this year.  The vote was unfair cause there was not a vote for yeah I'd like to see a wolf taken out but I don't think I need to pay for it for someone else.  If could put in for alot of tags and not afford it but I wouldn't expect anyone else to help me py for it.

You have the right idea, but probably the wrong community.  Maybe find a ranch out that way that's lost some stock, they'll probably fix you dinner, iron your socks if you ask.

Shoot the wolf.....go to town and buy the tag.

Very slim chances you will get the opportunity so it is not worth the $180 up front.

Lets face it the state of Idaho would not admit they condone the shoot first buy later practice but I guarantee the heads would turn the other way.  After all the local tag is only $11 indicating to me how little the department of fish and game thinks of the wolf.

It is amazing the anti wolf messages hanging and posted all around those small Idaho towns in the elk country.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

You need one more option: nope, just can't spare the cash.

So, for me, nope. Not becasause I want to save the wolves but just don't have the cash to donate to others tags.

Taken care of. And good idea about the ranchers..... ;)

Cheers ladies and gents...Regardless, Huntwa will benefit from this for at least one story.

If, WE, bought the wolf tag for you, how would you pay for food, gas, lodging etc ? That would be probably another $1,000. Or, would that be another donation too ?   :chuckle:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
