I was born about 80 yrs to early.  What a great story and could you imagine the amount of quality hunting and the amount of quality game in those days.  Its only a dream now!

I think you meant 80 years to LATE not to EARLY.  Your point is well taken though.

That is what a i meant.  I wish it was still like that now.  I would be more than happy to give up most of the luxuries in life today to have it like it was back then.  Im sure some of you would say the same.

Great story!  I am surprised Sportsmans or Cabela's hasn't snatched those up!  I'll place a bid in the morning!  :chuckle:

Gotta agree it would be the cheapest way to get the grand slam.

Yeah, I sure hope some outfit like cabelas will pick them up and try to preserve the history behind them. But some turd with a bunch of cash and no morals will pick it up and brag that they got it, but never got it score or something.

I've know a few people that bought nice mounts at the pawn shop and talked it up that way. >:(

that is axcellent. really a great (and hopefully true) story.

"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
