i found this one on cabelas and it looks pretty comfy. im going to be spending some serious time in a tree stand come september and im in the market for another one. anyone used this? im kinda worried about the arms getting in the way of my bow. what are you favorite treestands? one condition they have to be "comfortable" but im not talkin lazy boy comfort, im well aware its probably still gonna be somewhat unplesent. ive only hunted out of them a few times and it was miserable...

thanks!
Team nubby!

I love my API Grandslam Super Mag climber.  Arrowed a lot of nce critters out of it.  You can fall asleep in the damn thing and not worry about falling out.  I will not use a hang on type stand.  I am too big and clumsy and would wind up dead.  Hang on's are responsible for more treestand injuries than any other type.  :twocents:

It looks plenty comfy for sure, I have not used one.  I have the Summit climbers, the arms on mine come out a lot further and mine do get in the way some times. These ones look a lot more compact / shorter. I don't see them as a problem. When you are sitting & holding your bow  you will be sitting forward with excitement, looks to me like you will be out in front of the arms.  These look shorter than mine also.   Good luck. Mike

Yeah not sure I agree. Its user error.  Either way not the point.... I have both a climber and a few hang ons.  The climber is great to take a nap because it has full containment.  If you set your harness properly which allows for now vertical drop and it is taught when you sit you can almost take a nap in that tooo.....but I woud rather hava hammock for that. :)   As far as hunting... you cant go wrong with your selection.... climbers are limited to telephone poles or lots of sawing... so unless you hunt the city get hang on.

I would fall a sleep in that thing :chuckle:  And how can you draw the bow sitting in it?

You need to buy the bow hunters adapter that allows you to stand.  Increase the angle to that are approx 45 degrees to the tree and it works awsome.  I love mine.  It is quiet easy to pack (though kinda bulky) and most of all extremely comfy.
