i just had my bow tuned at XXX archery last week. it shoots really good with field points. Cory at XXX is the one that told me about Slick Tricks and had pics of his monster buck the proved to me that they make a HUGE hole.  just not real sure where to go from here.  maybe I will go talk to the guys at XXX again and try to find out whats up.  thanks for the help guys.

Slick Tricks or shuttle T's both fly amazingly well. With broadheads, tuning is everything.

Sounds like a little bit of tuning is in order. I'd start with paper tuning then move to walk back tuning. Broadheads will magnify everything that's not adjusted right especially in wind.

Slick tricks and wac'ems are my favorite but I still tune the broadhead to the arrows.   If your broadhead and arrow don't spin like a top they will not fly good.

If your bow is tuned correctly and your are shooting the correct spined arrow. It will shoot just about any broad head out there!

The broad head is not the problem...

download the Eastons tuning guide and learn to do it yourself. You will never regret it ;)

Good Luck,
Fulla

You stated that you can't get your broadheads to fly well, and that the ones you are using are britle...I will not try and be a archery pro here, and only offer this advice if you're looking for a new broadhead...Try VPA's Terminators. They are machined out of a solid piece of steel, so they are not cast or welded...making them extremely tough...I shoot the 100 grn heads out of my compound (and the 160 glue on's from my recurve) and I have found the 100 grain heads shoot to vertually the same point at my field points...but that is in my bow, my set up, and my shooting style...again, not to "armchair" you to death...just to answer your question, I highly recomment VPA's Terminator series heads...you can find them on the web, and they are American made (just another bonus).

Tuning, tuning, tuning. Go to your local bow maintenance guy for help.
