If you hunt near a water hole or wallow...don't leave home without it.  Swatting away buzzing mosquitos will definitely spook a nearby elk.

I've been tempted to use Therma cell during bear hunting in late sept....those no seeums over here eat me alive, so I am covered in clothing so I dont move so much...gloves, face mask, etc.... Interesting to hear about Quinalt....

I have the bug suit for august, but I still don't leave my thermacell at home. Unless very windy, but with heavy wind there are usually no bugs

I use my religiously in Sept. while deer and elk hunting but have heard from outfitters the bears can detect it when its on and stay away. Couple of the tribal guys at Quinalt dont want you to bring them if you book a hunt. I shot a 4 point bull 3 years ago at 16 yards with my therma cell on.My buddy took a 6 point 2 years ago and both of us had therma cells running on our packs. I love the damn things.
I used mine last august to film a bear hunt on the res and the hunter used one too! They work great and bears dont seem to mind. We killed 2 bears in that stand in 3 days and not one bug bite!

i know you bear hunt within a few miles of where i go and mine has been a life saver and ive seen plenty of deer and bear while it was on.
~  ~One of my favorite clothing patterns is camouflage. Because when you're in the woods it makes you blend in. But when you're not it does just the opposite. It's like "hey, there's an *censored*."”

Be come one with Nature......... Then Marinade it.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.

Black flys are like the fruit flys that you have around your house but they bite and annoy the hell out of you
