I understand you did not get what you thought you were getting, and for that you are understandably unhappy, but you gotta kind of give them props for standing behind the product they sent you. Plus I gotta say, my 230hr HP handloads with montana gold bullets for my 45acp are truly serious penetrators.  You might be happier with them than you'd think.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

My deal with this is even if the MG is 10X the bullet the GD is I should have got what I paid for. They should have been up front about the change, not taken my money and sent whatever they want until they let me know that what was posted on their web site was a diffrent bullet then I would be getting. And let me make that choice, not make it for me. God dots are around $20.00 per 100, MG's are around $13.00 a 100. And I know what the GD's will do...I dont know squat about the MG's

CW, I understand that, and I totally get why your upset, I truly do.  But, I gotta give Buffalo Bore props to a certain degree for standing up for what they believe is a excellent product in todays age and not falling prey to the whiny PC crowd that states the customer is always right no matter what.  Now this may not be the "best" time for them to have stood up for their product, as you are certainly in the right.  But I still gotta give them Kudo's for their balls to tell you what they think.  My  :twocents: Sorry man.

you should get what you pay for or atleast be able to opt out if what was is not what is...

I see both sides of this one, GoldTip has a real good point and I too like to see a company stand up and try and educate you. However I can also see where you would be pissed off as Buffalo Bore bullets are pretty spendy, I would expect a corresponding drop in price for a cheaper bullet but only if it's actually cheaper for a business to buy in bulk. Truth in advertising is also nice to see, have you researched the MG bullets yet? If they are calling them a viable alternative I would try them out.

CW, you might be surprised at what BB actually pays for their bullets when they are buying them a million at a whack or however many they get in an order, I would guess it to be a minimum of 100,000 projectiles at a time though. That Montana Gold bullet might even cost more...
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Gold dots are around $20.00 per 100, MG's are around $13.00 a 100

yea, I spent $41.00 shipped for 20 rounds of this stuff....

everything I have read about the MG's is they are accurate but more of a target bullet even with the HP...

I swear by GD's. I know they are proven.....And the biggest reason for buying what I did, second was the low flash, third was I thought Buffalo Bore was the best factory ammo out

I agree, they should have stood up for their product and given you the option to return it free of charge.

Thats part of it I'm sure, they dont take returns(dont blame them)but I'm not interested in spending anymore money on this as I'm $41.00 now
I just want what I pay for or the respect not to take my money and send me whatever you think is best. I would have not bought the stuff until I done my homework on the MG bullet. But now I'm stuck with $2.00 a shot stuff I am not going to trust my life to
And now I will go buy the Speer Gold Dot Short barrel stuff

I agree that they should put a disclaimer on the site or notify you of the change in bullet. The response you received and the tone of the emails from BB is completely unacceptable from a customer standpoint. They stand behind their product, great, good for them. There is a better way to explain to the customer though that they feel this product is better than pictured on the website, and by no means should you refer to a customer as ignorant... unless you don't want that customers money anymore. Personally I'd try and call to see if you could speak to someone about the way the email was handled and not get into the bullet performance argument.

put the bullet quality aside for second, the attitude in the emails doesn't exactly scream "good customer service". i don't care if they gave you a bullet that is 10x better, cost less, cost more, etc. I won't deal with a company that has that kind of attitude. You can stand by your product without calling someone ignorant. That guy was being an a$$.

They won't take returns because they can't re-sell ammo or shoot it themselves. They state that very clearly.

It sucks that you didn't get what you thought you were and Mr. Sundles was perhaps less than "hat in hand" with his replies.

I know he has to deal with a lot of BS from tons of people as well as legitimate customer service complaints, so he draws a line in the sand and stands behind what he sells for whatever its worth.

Also, nowhere does it say that they loaded them with Gold Dots. The description on the box says Speer JHC, as opposed to the normal nomenclature for Gold Dots of Speer GDHP. Speer makes several varieties of 125 gr bullet,  the Gold Dot (GDHP), the jacketed soft point(JSP) and jacketed hollow point (JHP). I have no idea what the JHC is.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service.  I would fire any one of my customer service reps who addressed a customer in that fashion on the spot.  Who cares if he stands behind what he sells if he thinks it's ok to address his customers (the people who are spending their hard earned money with him) like that.  He definitely needs to spend some of that money he's saving from not buying the premium Gold Dots on some professional customer service staff.  Obviously, he didn't need to keep typing after coyotewallace said "no response necessary".   But he just couldn't help himself...

As Abraham Lincoln said:
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

Thanks for posting, coyotewallace.

Call your credit card company (I hope you used a CC) and tell them the company shipped you something different than what you paid for and refuses to fix the situation.   They will usually do a charge back, and at least then you get your money back and can go buy what you want.
