Momma decided to show off her twins today
« on: June 11, 2011, 09:47:12 AM »
One of the neighborhood does decided to finally show off her twin fawns today.  I knew she had dropped a fawn a couple weeks ago when I noticed afterbirth over by the garden. :puke:  :)

Seem to be a little earlier this year than the last couple years.

May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Yeah, it is a 4' high fence around 5 acres.  The doe likes to have her fawns here I think because of the lack of coyotes and neighborhood dogs inside the fence.  And she knows the fawns will be inside the fence somewhere when she comes back to check on them.  This is the 4th year we've had fawns born on the property........ever since our dog passed away they've decided this is a safe place.

Now that I think about it, I haven't heard any yotes howling around here in a long time.  Used to hear them at night quite often.  Maybe they've given up on this area....... :dunno:

Thanks for the comments guys. :)
