Halibut fishing 6/1
« on: June 05, 2008, 10:21:30 PM »
Had the fortunate opportunity to head out with some friends halibut fishing out of westport on Sunday.  Awoke to a calm ocean and made great headway out 35 miles to the fishing grounds.  Dropped 4lb weights and large herring down 500' and hooked up immediately.  This was repeated by all of us on the boat weeding through some really nice lings and smaller halibut until we caught our limit of decent halibut.  It was an awesome day with some great friends on the beautiful pacific ocean!

Looks like fun I'm jealous. I've never been and have always wanted to go. Congrats on the fish.
