Windygorge- I knew I had seen that setup somewhere, thats where I got the idea for weaving the rope for the bottom support. I bet its tough as all hell and also gives some give over gravel terrain so the heavy load doesnt demolish your axles.

That is a great setup, I dont have access to any tools that would allow me to make one that integrate and well built.

Were you able to ride the load out or did you end up walking the bike out? Where I'm looking at hunting this year its super steep so I think it would be really easy to overload a trailer and get out of control coming down one of those really steep hills. Its so steep last year I though I wasnt going to be able to stop with just myself my pack and bow.

its amazing how light it is even though its metal.  just weighed the platform and it weighed 15.6 lbs.  add the wheels and tongue, it probably weighs 20ish lbs.

We have two customized game carts that attach at the seat post.  I will try and get some pictures on here.  You can also see it in action on our video (that we will be releasing as our last online episode).

We added an extension (neck) to the front handle to keep the cart above the rear tire.  We then use a Ball swivel to allow the bike and cart to move independently.  We then added two posts a couple inches away from the ball swivel.  This was a safety precaution to make sure the cart is never to far out of alignment with the bike (no jack knifing).  It all attaches to the seat post using a 2 inch section of steel tubing.

Works great.  We have hauled out over 15 bulls on these carts in the past couple years.  A whole quartered out bull at a time.  Downhill, we have to get off and walk though.  We were also able to find 25 psi solid tubes that work awesome.  No more worrying about flats.

sorry my computer pooped on me.  as i was trying to say.......
i am so glad i built it.  it is extremely dangerous when its steep.  and the load does want to push you down.  being in a hurry is NOT an option.  take it really slow.  having disc brakes are important however, because i just about melted my rims coming down.  again just take it slow.  or you will be pushed down into the canyons you hunt these elk in

Mine will hall over 200lbs, and will sit on the kick stand w/that load. I don't care what trailer you have, it's still work w/a load on.
