new mexico elk unit 17!
« on: June 14, 2011, 04:42:17 PM »
so my hunting partner wanted to put us in for new mexico archery elk, i told him to put me in for a quality high demand tag with 6% non-res draw odds. he put in for a slightly easier tag to draw.  somehow i drew my first choice. september 19-24 archery elk hunt in unit 17 and i dont have a clue where to start. have any of you had this tag or know any one who has? any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. i think i drew a pretty damn good tag so i dont really want to waste it. thanks alot, brandon

Great tag, My suggestion would be join huntn fool, so you can obtain list of others that have drawn tag, post on monster muleys forum for info, contact biologist, and show up in unit a week early to learn.   :twocents:  enjoy your hunt that is a great tag.

I had that tag a couple of years ago and would be willing to give you a few pointers.  Right now I am trying to figure out what I am going to do with a Watershed quality deer tag, Lick Creek muzzle cow tag and my fathers  Lick Creek muzzle Bull Tag.  All with the same dates? :IBCOOL: Whew

Give me a couple days to figure my stuff out and then give me a PM for details.
Mountain top!
