I can't believe it's a draw unit. There is hardly any elk left in there. I know I will be wasting time on my hunt but I might get lucky enough to find one of the last bulls left.

Deer on the other hand is a different story, but you have to be willing to put in some work and hunt hard. Just heed to my advice and I am sure you will connect on one, that is if you do your part!

The White River area use to be one of the top producing elk units on the westside of the state, obviously it is now permit only because of the huge decrease in numbers. Are there elk? Yes, in fact I usually see elk everytime I am in the area however it is nowhere near what it was like 20+ years ago.
We can shoot cows with our permits right? Hope so, cuase its grouse season that time and I got a honey hole! Taggin out early and gonna kill me some grouse!
