I know the proposed fee was something like $70 or $80 something. But last I heard, the 2nd deer tag was one of the only fees that WAS NOT increased. I think it was Big Tex who posted the information. But who knows. I can't find anything that shows what the new fees are. I guess the WDFW is  trying to keep it a secret and catch people unaware. I'm not sure why the price hikes would take effect September 1st. It's always been July 1st when increases went into effect before.   :dunno:

When drawn for a 2nd deer (doe) tag, are you required to fill your primary buck tag first before you fill your 2nd tag?

No, take them in either order.

original proposal was $84 for 2nd deer.  It was beaten down by numerous complaints at town hall meetings, and letters to the WDFW...

I just bought the tag for my wife who drew the Methow second deer tag.  $24.00  No big deal.
Even if it were twice the price, if you fill it that's a pretty fair amount of good stuff in the freezer for not a lot of money.
