PathfinderJR Draws Tag!
« on: June 14, 2011, 07:14:55 PM »
I just checked the Front Door results on the WDFW site.  It seems that PathfinderJR (my 12 year old) has drawn the Blue Mountains Foothills buck tag.
I will not tell you how many points he drew it with, since our house is made of wood, and therefore flammable, but I will say that I think he used up all his luck, and mine too (I had 7 points toward the same tag-been trying to draw it since 2006).
He is at church tonight, I just called and gave him the news (seems his best friend may have drawn a good tag too this year), and he's pumped.

Now, of course, the work starts.  Trail cams will go up next week...stay tuned....

It's always cool when kids pull a good tag.  Congrats to him and hope he kills the new state record. ;)

Congrats to the boy. It will be a great summer of scouting and planning and trying to get it all in for hopefully the best hunt of both your lives. Good luck and I am looking forward to the reports along the way.

Sweet. He got one of my choices too with almost as many points as you. Which one did he draw?
It will be a good hunt whichever side he drew. Good luck.

I know what you are saying about the points.  My son drew an antlerless moose tag on his first try!  I'm 0 for 15!

I used up my luck this year getting the Lick Creek quality deer tag.

He drew BMF West.  149, 154, 172 etc...  Closer to home, since we will be hunting after school and weekends mostly...
