HELP! AR 15
« on: September 05, 2011, 10:19:16 AM »
I know that this is a long shot, but does anyone in the Tacoma area have an extra AR15 firing pi retaining pin?  Every gun shop I could think of is closed today.
There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

Well I found the only gunshop in the tacoma area that is open today.  The Marksman on Canyon rd.  They only sell that pin as part of their "Oh Crap kit" 14 dollars for A simple cotter pin  :bash: and all of the other little parts.
There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

:yeah:  And don't shoot your gun without it!  that little cotter pin is probably the most important part of your bolt/carrier assembly.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Yes they do and they are all the wrong shape at the head.  I checked 3 hardware stores, and then I bought the $14 kit.

You think that's a hard to find part...don't lose the roll pin that goes in the charging handle latch!  (A tip:  If you do, the roll pin that holds in the detent and spring in the trigger guard is the same size.  I put winter trigger guards on my AR's so I had some to rob.)
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
