This is the letter i wrote, please write your own and let them know the truth. dont let these nutbags win.
I just saw your “Washington Scores low on guns safety” letter. I have never seen such a load of misinformation but I shouldn’t be surprised coming from the Brady Campaign, they are a bunch of lying nut bags anyways. But I thought I would clear some things up;
1. In Washington state we have background checks for guns at gun shows, there is no loophole that they like to think there is. No felons or terrorists are allowed to buy or own guns in Washington, come on Heidi even you know that!
2. We have background checks for CCW’s along with fingerprinting and even though Washington is an “open carry” state, try it sometime and you’ll have every cop in the county call on you.
3. There are no “Military-style” weapons sold either, military weapons are fully automatic (1 pull of the trigger, lots of bullets) and I have never seen a single one at a gun show.
4. AND FOR THE LAST TIME, IF GUNS KILL PEOPLE THEN I CAN BLAME MISSPELLED WORDS ON MY KEYBOARD! If you don’t like guns Heidi then don’t buy them, not everyone who owns guns is a terrorist!
Enforce the laws we have, making new ones won’t do anything! Criminals don’t care about you, gun laws or your stupid crusade against guns. If bad guys want guns, they will get them one way or another, new more restrictive laws only hurt the law abiding citizens who would like to be able to shoot back.
