If you're willing to pack out a moose about 4+ miles in, I swear you can get one bigger than the ones in the earlier post.

Don't think I could have passed up either of those moose.  Might have to do some hiking in there to see what possibilities exist before I put in for that hunt.

I am on both sides of the spectrum here.  I think that just asking for help is a little tacky but some people need to understand that drawing an OIL tag is not easy.  If someone that draws the tag lives eight hours away from the area, how can you fault them for not knowing it like the back of their hand like you may.  I posted before that my neighbor has put in for 18 years and nothing.  He is in his late 60's and more than likely not in a position to do a ton of pre scouting, especially considering he may never draw.  Anyone that draws can never put in again, for gods sake help a little or if you dont want to then dont. Either way get off his case and let the ones that can help do as they wish.

Back in the day we didn't have the internet. I look at it as one of my tools for scoutting. Hell the first time I came on this site was when I drew my 49 moose tag. I put my daughter and I in for Raymond cow tags, never been down there. And wouldn't you know it, we have two tags and yes I asked and got some good info on here. Thanks guys, it's lots of fun to draw a tag and part of the fun is doing your research.

Like said before up off flowery trail rd. is a great place to start. Seen lots of moose up there. Another place to look is on Iron mtn. off of Immel rd. N of Chewelah, haven't seen near as many moose there but there are some. Good luck.

I was up there last deer season, hunted the top to the hwy down by the old alcoia plant. Lots of moose sign and very little deer sign. There w/lots of moose pits so the bulls w/rutting.
