20+, Used to get them some rugged but quit at 9 rugs. Haven't actively hunted them for 4 or 5 yrs. 50% or so were over bait with bow when legal, some I just ran into and visa versa also got to run dogs a few times when legal, I think I've only shot 3 since it became illegal to do. I used to run a bait pile for years and one year had 14 taken by people I let hunt off it. If I didn't shoot another bear it would be okay with me. The Game Dept used to drop off troublesome bears by my place.

I wish I had gotten into bear hunting sooner. We only baited for two years or so before it became illegal.  :bash:

I have only shot 1 myself, but have filmed a few others being taken. It's kinda like shooting one I guess, I shot them with a video camera :chuckle:. It's just as fun for me. :whoo:

I have never killed a bear in Washington but since I started hunting Grizzlies in Alaska in 1989 I have lost track how many.
I think as of fall 2008 I'm at about 10 personally and about 45 or 50 total counting the ones I've helped friends get.
Gotta do your part helping the moose herd out.

Looks like we've got a few bear hunters on here :chuckle:

I've taken 3. Been on some hunts with other guys who have taken a few. Don't like to admit it, but I've lost 2..... which is the worst!

Zero. I've only seen bears in the wild once, and it was a Sow with two cubs.
