You might try calling ruger direct and see if they have any there.

If you can't find one make sure you use #11 mags they are much hotter then the standards.

Ruger doesn't carry replacement parts for the 77/50 anymore. And the breech doesn't have a removable nipple. It's all one solid piece. I know that there's got to be some out there somewhere.

elkhorn, just my 2 cents... but you are better off with a #11 cap than the Musket Cap, but you have to get the right #11.  It needs to be a #11 Mag cap or better yet RWS Dynamit Noble 1075+ caps.  Either of these two caps are just as hot as a musket cap, actually the 1075+ is a bit hotter.  But more importantly they fit the nipple post tighter all the way around and are ALMOST (notice almost) water tight.  I use these caps and have used them in -20* weather in a side lock and they stili ignite the powder (even Triple 7 but I am using 3f) - in an inline they are even more effective, especially if the breech plug is designed right and allows the powder to sit down on the face of the nipple.

I liked the mag caps as well.... Good stuff..... Main reason I prefer muskets is because my nuckle drag the ground when I walk.....    My hands and fingers are too damn big..... I must have dropped 10 of those little things trying to recap after I shot my first spike and cow with a muzzy..... I always loose my speed capper in the moment of truth for some reason.....

And try calling the Muzzleloader Supply in Puyallup if you can get the number.... I don't remember it off the top of my head..... He can get parts and all the cool stuff usually..... A little spendy but you gotta pay to play..... Nice people... It's a Mom and Pop shop..... He will ship stuff as well....

Certainly can not argue those points about the fumbling fingers - I have a set that work the same way.  I finally found a very good capper just for that problem...

 Shot my Ruger today and the #11 mags are definitely the way to go. It shot great. I tried the 300 gr. XTPs and things went well. Still wanting to play with some things. I'm really interested in the Bloodline series. Does any stores carry them on hand or do you have to get them online? Thanks. O

Yeah you will be happy you have the mags I am the same way I like the musket caps way better because of the size.

Right now I think the online thing is your best option, although Wholesale Sports may eventually get them since they are a Knight dealer...

T7 does have a higher ignition temp than other powders but it really is not that bad.  The reason is the granuals of T7 are wrapped with a very thin film to help (not stop) protect them from picking up moisture.

I use T7-3f with percussion guns because it is easier to ignite and burns cleaner than 2-f and it is so fine it gets closer to the nipple in most cases.

I have this capper but I use a another one that is shorter for hunting - do not need that many caps...

The #11's are way to small to handle by hand... or fingers

I have mine around my neck always! I keep it in a plastic bag tucked into my front shirt pocket. It's there every time I need it. I learned the hard way on that one.

put your capper on a chain and wear it around your neck.  There hard to loose if they are tied to you

Had that on last year and it got ripped off somehow.... I found it on the 6th day in a pair of boots I wore on the 1st day..... Kept another in a zippered side pocket and I wore a little hole in it I didn't know about until I couldn't find while reloading with my spike running across the ridge!!!! I don't think I'm ment to have one.....
