2011 Trail Cam pics New Update 10-09 : New Deadeye Pics
« on: June 18, 2011, 10:58:46 PM »
This year is starting out great. One of the big boys we were chasing last year has shown up again. We call him deadeye due to his injured left eye. Those of you who saw my pics last year may remember this buck.

Well here he is this year.

You can notice his droopy left eye in this pic.

There is noticeable growth between 12 and 17 June.

I know velvet can be tricky but I agree it appears that he will have great mass. I look forward to seeing your pics. I have cameras over several types of mineral licks. Currently my cheap 200lbs mix of Dicalcium Phospahte/Trace Mineral/Stock Salt is bringing in the most animals.

Me too...it is always great to connect on an animal you have history with. It was this animal I was hunting last year when I blew the rear diff on my Tacoma and had to leave my Samurai stranded on a  forest service road. It put a serious damper on my late season. I hope things will be different this year.

Beautifull animal, sure hope you can keep up with him throughout the velvet season.   Didn't even see that other buck!

For some reason they all like bedding there. I even have some photos of the big guy bedded down in that spot.
