We have had great luck with Diamond Veterinary Clinic in Everett. They stitched up our miniature Dachshund when she got attacked. They saved both our Labs when they got food poisoning from some canned Alpo (will never use that crap again.) They were pretty fair on their prices considering it was an emergency situation. We have taken our dogs to Banfield Clinics inside PetSmart in Everett as well with good results.

Well, I know that it is a little far but Firgrove Veterinary clinic on South Hill in Puyallup takes payment plans. I have had rather large vet bills and they are pretty accomodating when it comes to that.  A we bit south but maybe worth the trip.

I know that my vet here will accept post dated checks....  they will allow you to write several of them and spread them out..  Say your bill is $1,000...   you can pay $250.00 up front...  then write 3 post dated checks for $250.00...   each spread out a month apart.

Columbia Veterinary hospital in Astoria Oregon.  You won't find anyone cheaper or better.  They don't take apointments, you just show up and get in line.  They only care about the critters, not the money.  I know its a drive, but 2 hi end vets almost killed my dog then raked me over the coals for money several thousand.  Columbia vet charged me 300 dollars had my dog for almost 2 weaks on I V and special treatment.  They are great, there were people from all over washington and oregon standing in line with me.  Can't say enough good things about them.

I'm not sure about WSU either,   I called to inquire about my Britt over a grass awn issue and they wanted three thousand dollars  to look for the grass awn with a MRI scan, then remove and stich back up

BUT I didn't ask about any ways to lower that cost, didn't tell them I was unemployed starving or any other such.  Just asked up front how much then said no thanks

jeeprx- although its happened before i did give him a can of alpo that night.........

hes got his distemper shots ( hes up to date on everything )

writing down all these clinics and I'll be making some phone calls today and probably bring him in on wensday or thurs depending on what time i'm off work

Horse and cart takes payments. They are located in Mckenna. Also you can apply for a carecredit card. Most vets accept them. Good luck! Please keep us updated! :sry:

okay, so i know this is sort of off the subject, but how much would you all spend to fix your hunting dog. I think everyone probably has a cap.  A guy I know spent 9000 dollars fixing his 9 month old dog after it was hit by a garbage truck.  I'm sure even with the fixes it will never be the same.... I told him next time to give me 4500 dollars and I would bring him a brand new dog.

I guess for me it would depend on the amount i had into the dog as far as money and training, and whether or not it would be able to hunt or not. I know i would never spend 9000 for veterinary care, no matter what.  anyway, just interested to hear what you all think.

We put $4000 into our black lab. She was only 7 months at the time. Not trained much at all at that point. She is now 7 years old. The vet said her leg would have been fused by now. Thats not the case. She is amazing! Still acts like a young dog. Sometimes she comes up a bit lame on it though. Not bad for a 50/50 chance of saving the leg to begin with. She hunts pheasant but we dont like to push her. Dont want the leg to crap out now. She still goes along on trail rides with the ole lady. I guess the point of my story is there is no amount of money i wouldnt fork out to save one of my dogs! Its not about the money for me. Its the love and compassion i have for them. Sure i could go out and get another dog for less. I guess if you did that you probably dont have the bond that i have with my animals. Which is probably why your dogs dont perform for you as well as mine do for me. Just my opinion, and a strong one at that! :twocents:

$9,000.00 and 4,000.00 vet bills?  Holy chit, not only no but hell no.
I love my lab more than some people, but I ain't gonna go broke paying vet bills when I have a family to feed and other bills to take care of. Even if I had the money to do it, I doubt I would do such a crazy thing...

I donno...  Pets are like members of they family. When both of our labs got sick and we almost lost them, we told them to do what ever it took to save them. I've had my Black Lab since he was a puppy. He's been with me a long time. I wouldn't let my ex wife take him when we divorced. In fact he took a photo album off the shelf one day and chewed it up. The only pictures he chewed up were of my ex wife.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Like i said... just my opinion. The money, or amount of money is, nor has ever been a issue when it comes to our animals. This is what makes the world go round. Imagine if we were all the same. We wouldnt have anything to talk about. :twocents:
