Horse packers?
« on: June 22, 2011, 11:53:18 AM »
Looking to arrange for the potential use of some pack horses to be able to come in and get a 1-2 bulls out (if my partner and I are successful with our Peaches Ridge bull tags) come Sept 6-18.  We plan on backpacking in several miles and don’t want to risk losing any meat with just two of us out there.  Anyone know of or have used any horse packers for such an endeavor.  I’d like to call and arrange ahead of time, in case their assistance would be needed/wanted.   Thanks.

If you contact Chinook Pass Outfitters and tell them where you are hunting they can help you out. It really depends on where you are headed. The bounderies for each outfitter will detemine your packer.

Thanks for the replies.  I have made some calls and will hopefully require the services of a packer come Sept.
