2nd Annual Summer Super Single July 16th-17th, 2011


Saturday will consist of 5 Single Water/Land Retrieves.  Dogs will be scored based on each retrieve per series up to ten (10) points for each retrieve per judge, totaling a max of 20 pts per retrieve.  At the conclusion of each retrieve, the score will be posted.  Sunday will consist of 5 Single Water/Land Retrieves to conclude the event and designate the Winner.


Calcutta:  Saturday’s scores will be posted at the end of the 5 series.  During the BBQ and auction, participants and observers will have the opportunity to bid on each of the dogs prior to Sunday’s final 5 series. Monies donated into the Calcutta will be split 60/40.  60 % to the winner and 40 % donated to the NEWGDC.


500.00 added purse, split 50/30/20 – 1st-2nd-3rd


Start time: 7:30 am sharp.


Placement trophies will be awarded based on First, Second, Third.

Cost:   

•$50.00 per dog online entries.  $50.00 mail in.  $55.00 day of the event.

•Fresh ducks will be used.

Open to all dogs, LIMITED TO 35 DOGS PER FLIGHT – LIMIT THREE DOGS PER HANDLER.  A SECOND FLIGHT OPTION – BASED ON ENTRIES, Flights maybe combined on Sunday.

Scoring Criteria:  Point of release to point of return, hunt test format.  Points will be awarded based on trainability and marking.  Dogs will be released on “Dog”.  Dogs that require a “handle” to the bird will receive a score no higher than 3 points per judge.  Half point scores can/will be used, i.e. 7.5.  Dogs that display poor marking, poor handling, and work out of the area of the fall, may be picked up at the discretion of the judges.  A “zero” will be scored for that series.

Wayne, One of these days this will work into my schedule! Sounds like a great time. I'd love to attend but, I have a frickin wedding over here to attend.

I'd liked to drop by and watch but workin, at least it wasn't so hot today huh?  though you mighta got rained on but the dogs wouldn't mind that.
