Any advice on the wind river unit for a cow tag
« on: June 22, 2011, 09:05:03 PM »
I got drawn for a cow tag for the Wind River unit I usually hunt around Trout Lake but on the West Klickitat never on the Wind side of the road. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Ya not sure what I was thinking on putting in for that tag.  All I can say is I'll be hunting some new grounds and that's alright.  Its a late muzzle tag so hopefully there's some snow that's generally the key for the West Klickitat, hopefully it's the same case.  If you have some ideas on which direction I should go that would be great.

For sure hope for snow, that always helps there. There will be elk around there. I have not hunted it but a few of my family hunt that area every year
